About the Chorus
Winston-Salem Girls Chorus offers a joyful and empowering experience for girls and young women through vocal musical education and artistic excellence in performance.
Winston-Salem Girls Chorus began as Central Carolina Children's Chorus in 1999, enjoying many years of choral excellence in Winston-Salem and the Piedmont Triad. The chorus is now a multi-leveled, community-based choir organization for girls from Kindergarten - 12th grades in Winston-Salem and surrounding areas.
A partner with Music and Arts Ministries of Centenary United Methodist Church, WSGC’s mission is to offer a joyful and empowering experience for girls and young women through vocal musical education and artistic excellence in performance. The choir organization is comprised of three levels: UPBEAT!, LYRICA, and ENCORE, directed by Anne Saxon. Suzanne Maggs is the Assistant Director.
